Home Sweet Home

For the past 23 years I have called my parents house my home. I have never lived out of the house for longer than 6 months at a time. It is familiar. I know where everything is. I love my neighbors and the tight knit community that I grew up in.

This summer, not only am I getting married and taking on a new (shorter, easily spelled and pronounced) last name, I am moving out of my parents house and into my own home. This time brings excitement but also sadness. Right now I am just a little bit of both. Since we are moving out of state that makes it even harder! Just a lot of emotion to take in all at the same time. I am very excited about the move and even more excited that we BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!!

Having something to look forward to, fixing it up, knowing what my house will look like while trying to buy and register for home things, makes everything a lot easier. I am also greatful that my wonderful mother and grandmother will be traveling down with me to Indiana to see where we will live and help me clean the place top to bottom. The closing date is the middle of July so that gives me time to move my stuff and let it all settle in before the hectic part of the wedidng planning occurs. It is also much more relaxing to know that all this life changing stuff won't be happening at the same time!

So.... here is our house.........

(disclaimer: It isn't ours really until the inspection goes through ....but I don't anticipate anything horrible happening there but if you could say a little prayer for Phil and our good friend Greg on Monday afternoon when they go meet with the inspector that everything goes well, I'd appreciate it!)

The front of the home:

You walk into the living room from the front door!

If you continue on through the living room you go right into the Kitchen/eating area

off of the kitchen is a pantry, a half bath, a closet and the door to the garage. I've never had an attached garage so I am really excited about that!

Downstairs is the family room and a HUGE storage/utility room

Upstairs are 2 full baths and 4 bedrooms!

We have plenty of space for visitors so if you ever need to get away or are traveling through call us up! We are an hour or so Northwest of Indianapolis (right off highway 65). Come visit please!
