The Wall, The Warmth, and the Weekend

The sky outside today is deceptively BEAUTIFUL! The sun has been streaming in my window all day! However, it is still pretty cold out. My flowers aren't sure what to do. There is hope though. The weekend forecast calls for 70 + degrees! Perfect for Easter dresses and flip flops!

The Wall project is coming along slowly but surely. Philip is doing a great job with the little experience he has. He is becoming a great carpenter. However, he has mentioned several times that he could do without another project for at least a year or more! We have the beam up and it looks GREAT! Tomorrow night Phil is going to put in the door frame and attach the shelf. After that we just need to get one more piece of trim and paint the floor molding! Our friends Chris and Greg gave us an awesome table for our living room. It matches the wood of the piano perfectly. There was talk of getting a BEAUTIFUL church pew for under the window but it was already sold on Craigslist before I got a chance to call. So sad! We will be searching for one this summer at the antique shops. A church pew is perfect. It fits the style we are going for but also has function. It can hold 2-4 people if needed and display fun colored pillows when not in use. It also will not block my view of the outside!

The weekend cannot come soon enough! My family is heading down from Michigan on Thursday! I am very excited to see them and for them to see the finished wall project! We are going to go to dinner on Friday at a lovely local Italian restaurant, LaScala. Saturday we will bum around the house, enjoy the warm weather and then head to the theater for the Passion play put on by a local church. Sunday is church and brunch. Then we say goodbye. I am pretty excited!
